After dance and baths and jammies comes art.

My sister-in-law had recommended this book for fun ideas for children's art.

One of the books suggestions is to allow a little artist (under close supervision, with precautions taken) to color over a slightly heated surface. So we turned our pancake griddle to 'warm', covered it with some brown craft paper and let the magic happen. As Carolyn would let the crayon slide over the heated paper it would melt into a smooth, bright line. It was fun to color with an even just fun to watch. J watched... with her mouth full of cookie cake and a relaxed smile pre-bedtime.

It was a very bad day at work, but a very good night at home. Thankfully.
