September 2007 "in the crib"
x
Two years ago I found Schultz Party of Four - it had been hiding out in the unknown recesses of my right brain for a few years and finally made its debut one fine September evening. I don't know that I had much of a plan, besides making our everyday boring lives look interesting for the five readers I knew would visit (Mom, Mom-in-Law, Aunt, Grandma and Grandma).
x
And I suppose two-years-later the goal remains much the same - that is to highlight the beautiful, exciting and sacred that happens amidst the mundane of life.

Back then Julia couldn't walk and had no hair. Carolyn was still fine-tuning her face making. I stayed home and still had my gallbladder. B worked for the church. Our long-term plan was very short-term, and I didn't have the pear cafe curtains that make my house a home.
x
It used to be my habit to post a Friday Fond Memory every week without fail. When my Grandma died unexpectedly last November I stopped. Maybe someday the lump in my throat will dissipate when I think of the fun we had, but not today.

Much has transpired since September of '07 when our Party of Four stepped out. I sometimes think about all the moments that would be lost in forgetting if they hadn't found their way to this online safehaven - and I am grateful.
