Big Girls on Campus

One beautiful spring day in May a luau was planned. Not on the sandy beaches of Hawaii but on the green grasses of Kansas (University to be exact). Students dressed in crimson and blue, sunglasses and capris gathered - along with two little blondies who were unaware that they in-fact are nowhere near old enough to run with these big kids. Playing catch and eating snacks the girls fit right in, assuming they belonged...not on the side lines, but at the center of the conversation (at least as far as C was concerned). Many a picture was snapped so Mommy could see how much fun was had while she was away playing 'dress up' at a fancy engineering dinner. Ah, how good it felt to be back on campus for our yearly pilgrimage to the holy land that is Lawrence.
