All this blogging about art, I had to share my two little treasures. Certainly not for their price, but for the meaning (and now if you're at our house you might notice them and know what they mean).

In the summer of 2001 Brandon and I back-packed around Europe. While we were in St. Mark's Square in Venice, he proposed. After I said yes and all that fun, we walked over to a little vendor and purchased this tiny print of the square - to remind us where this little family was proposed. We always hang it near the entry of whatever house we live in, nothing fancy but special to us.

On our honeymoon in the Eastern Carribean, we stopped on an island one day (St. Martin I think) and did a little shopping...very little, as we had very little money. We purchased a similarly small print to remind us of this beautiful time together as well. This image, depicting the view out of a shuddered window on the island, is always in our master bathroom - to take us back to the paradise we got to enjoy, even if only for a short week.
