The girls' quilt is complete and they are now sleeping in their big-girl bed nightly.

My mother-in-law made this quilt for C and J, after month of discussion and research. I originally found the scrapbook paper (seen on the "S" above) and wanted a quilt in a similar color scheme and pattern. She found the drunkard's path pattern which worked really well with the flowers and white-space. Then we took the scrapbook paper to the quilt shops and started hunting for just the right colors. She was hesitant at first to incorporate so much black into a little girl's quilt, but in the end we both agreed it makes the quilt ageless, the girls could use this until they go away to college. As usual she did an incredible job. The photos hardly do it justice, it is such a treasure for the girls!
