Picture this...it's nearly midnight, I am surfing the interweb for an antique-ish cross-stitch pattern source because I have this very odd itch to stitch.

And at last the heavens open up and reveal to me the site that will consume many-an-hour...Antique Pattern Library...very little sleep followed.
This amazing site has scanned hundreds of patterns from the 1800s and 1900s for cross-stitch, crochet and other crafts-of-old. The patterns are so unique and not at all the 'country' look that I see so often in today's cross-stitch (not that its bad to be country, I love me some Dolly, and Lord knows I've got some cut-off jeans around here somewhere)
The flowers are beautiful, the lettering is fantastic and they even have birds!
