This girl makes me smile.

Last night before bed she asked, "Mommy!?! Are you going to Black & Beach tomorrow?" "Yes Carolyn," I responded. "Will you please wake me up so we can have breakfast together?" "Sure"

This morning I woke up and got ready for work, she was sound asleep on her palet by our bed, totally conked out. I thought about it for a minute, should I just let her be, getting her much-needed sleep? I decided to wake her as promised.

The minute I laid my hand gently on her back a HUGE smile spread across her face. My normally slow-to-wake (and always grumpy) Carolyn reached her arms around my neck and said "Let's go have breakfast". What a great feeling, to know that breakfast with me was worth being woken at 6:15, what a great feeling! This was the highlight of my day, these few minutes over cereal with Miss Sweet-and-Sassy.
