Friday's Fond Memory

I think it is only fitting that I share my very fondest memory of childhood
for my very first Friday Fond Memory.

After living in Albuquerque for almost 8 years, visiting Independence only twice a year throughout that time, we finally moved back 'home'. This is the photo from that day, the day we drove up to my Grandma's house and saw everyone outside waiting for us (as we didn't have cell phones, they'd been waiting all afternoon). The homemade banner said it all, and I still remember being SO very excited to never have to drive 14 hours to see everyone again!
